This Privacy Statement informs you of the privacy practices and choices you have regarding the way we collect information about you, including the information that may be collected from your online activity, the use of devices, and the information provided from Alfanet in order to find suitable partners or job candidates. This Privacy Statement also applies to websites, domains, services, applications and products owned by Alfanet.
The principles of our privacy

- Data integrity and usage: We use personal data solely for the scope described in the collection process or for additional scopes and always in accordance with the law. We take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy, completeness and updated personal information.

- Accountability for further transmission: We acknowledge the possibility of transmitting data between ALFANET’s legal entities or third parties. Personal data will only be shared when third parties accept the contractual obligation to provide an equivalent level of protection.

How we make use of the data
ALFANET collects and uses personal data in order to manage your relationship with the company and to better serve you by personalizing your experience and interaction with our company. ALFANET may collect personal information from you regarding:
Customer Experience: We want to provide a single customer experience by maintaining accurate communications and subscription data, by providing comprehensive customer support and by offering products, services and features that may be of interest to you. ALFANET also uses your data to provide you with a custom-made experience, to personalize the services and the newsletters you receive and to make recommendations based on the use of our services.
Transaction support: We want to provide facilities for completing transactions and product or service orders, for managing your account, for processing payments, for arranging collections and deliveries, and for setting up repairs and returns.
Product support and enhancement: We want to improve the performance and functionality of our products, solutions, services and support, including warranties and software updates as well as alerts to ensure the continued functioning of the equipment or the services.
Contact form: We would like to get in touch with you about ALFANET’s products and services. For example that may include newsletters with answers to your questions or requests, service request forms or warranty issues and product recall notifications.
Security: We will maintain the integrity and security of our websites, products, features, and services and to prevent and detect any security threats, frauds or other criminal or malicious activities that may compromise your information. When you interact with us, we will use reasonable means to verify your identity, such as password and user ID, before we give you access to your personal data. We may also take additional security measures, such as closed circuit camcorders, to protect your physical locations.
Business Functions: We will perform regular business processes, for finding the right partners, for confirming your ID, for offering credit, conducting research and statistical analysis of business data, corporate reporting and corporate management, education and quality assurance (which may include tracking or recording calls to our customer support service) and finally information provision.

The type of data we collect
As personal data is regarded any information that can be used to identify you or any information from which you can be identified directly or indirectly. We may collect your personal data when you use ALFANET’s Services or during discussions or correspondence with ALFANET’s representatives.
The personal data we collect from you depends on the nature of your interaction with our company or the services you are using, and may include the following:
Α) Information that you directly provide
Communication data - We may collect personal and / or business communication data, including names, surnames, postal addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses and other similar contact details.
Payment data - We collect data needed to process payments and prevent fraud, such as credit / debit card numbers, VAT numbers, and other related information.
Account data - We collect information on how you subscribed to ALFANET’s Services, your transaction records, billing or support records, the ALFANET’s Services you use, and anything else related to the account you’ve created.
Location data - We may collect location data when you turn on site-based services, or when you choose to provide location-related information when registering a product.
Security credentials data - We collect user IDs, passwords and similar security information required for authentication and access to ALFANET’s accounts.
Demographics - We may collect or receive from third parties some demographic data, such as country, gender, age, language, general information about your training and work experience, and more general data about your job interests.
Preferences - We collect information about your preferences and interests as long as they relate to our products or services (whether you’ve revealed them to us or whether we’ve concluded in that manner on the basis of what we know about you) and how you prefer us to communicate with you.
Social media data - It's also possible to provide social networking features that enable you to share information with the social networks you belong to and interact with us across different social media sites. Depending on the general use, these features may lead to the collection or disclosure of information about you. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and settings of the social media sites you use, in order to ensure that you understand what information may be collected, used and shared by these sites.
Other unique identifying information - Other unique information we may collect from you includes, but is not limited to, the product line numbers, the information you provide when you interact personally, online or by telephone or mail with our service centers, the support departments or other customer support channels, your responses to customer inquiries or competitions or additional information you provide us to facilitate the provision of ALFANET’s services and to respond to complaints submitted by you.
You are not required to share your personal information, however, if you choose not to share the information, in some cases we will not be able to provide you with our services, nor will we be able to respond effectively to any queries you may have.
Β) Information that is collected automatically, regarding your use of our Services
Product use data - We collect product usage data, such as printed pages, print used, media used, brand of ink or toner, type of file being printed (.pdf, .jpg, and etc.), the application used for printing (Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, etc.), file size, timestamp, and the use and status of other printing supplies. We do not scan or collect the content of any file or information that may be displayed through an application.
Device data - We collect information about your computer, printer and / or device as well as the operating system, memory size, region, language, time zone, model number, date of first use of the device, the age of the device, its date of manufacture, the browser version, the computer manufacturer, the connection port, the warranty status, unique device IDs, ad IDs, and additional technical information runes per product.
Application data - We collect information related to ALFANET’s applications such as location, language, software versions, data sharing options and update details.
Performance data - Used printing events, features and notifications such as "Cartridge is running out", use of photo cards, faxes, scans, embedded web server and additional technical information that vary by product.
Site Browsing Data - We collect information about your visits and activities on ALFANET’s websites, apps or sites supported by "other companies" on our behalf, as well as about the content (and any ads) you view and with which you interact, the address of the site from which you have been transferred, and other link transfer behaviors (such as the pages you view, the links you click or the items you've added to your shopping cart). Some of this information is collected using our automated data collection tools, which include cookies, Web alerts, and embedded Web links.
Anonymous or aggregated data - It is possible to collect anonymous replies to surveys and aggregated information on how to use ALFANET's services. As part of our operations, we may also implement a process of processing your data so that it cannot be identified by using this data with the available technological tools.
Γ) Third party information
We may also obtain data from third parties that we believe to be credible. That data have either been made public or commercially available. This information may include personal information such as your full name, postal address, email address, preferences, interests, and certain demographic data. For example, when you access our applications through a social media connection, personal data can be collected (for example, when you sign in to our apps using your Facebook credentials or other social media). That basic info we may acquire may depend on the privacy settings set in your account for each social network. In addition, if you purchase ALFANET’s Services from an ALFANET Partner, we may receive certain information about your purchase from that partner. Also, as appropriate, we may receive information from fraud prevention agencies or from financial information offices in connection with credit decisions.
We also acquire non-personal data, such as aggregated or anonymized demographic data / profile data, from third-party sources, for example, companies specialized in providing corporate data, statistical analysis and software.
In the context of ensuring data accuracy and providing top customer experience through better personalized services, content, marketing and advertising, we may associate or combine the information we collect from the different sources described above. For example, we may compare geographic information obtained from commercial sources with the IP address collected by our automated data collection tools to locate your geographic location. Another way of linking information to one another is via a unique identifier such as a cookie or account number.
Children’s Privacy Protection Policy
ALFANET does not collect information from children as defined by local law, and its websites or mobile apps are not targeting children.
How we maintain you data safe
In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure and to ensure the proper use of your information, we take reasonable and appropriate technical, and administrative measures to protect the information we collect and process. ALFANET retains the data for as long as is necessary or as permitted by law and if the data still have a legitimate business purpose.
When collecting, transmitting or storing sensitive information, such as financial information, we use various technologies and additional security procedures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
How we share the data
We will only share your personal information as follows:
Business Transactions: There may be circumstances in which, for strategic or other business purposes, ALFANET will decide to sell, buy, merge or reorganize its businesses. In such cases, we may disclose or transmit your personal data to prospective or actual buyers or receive personal data from vendors. Our practice in this kind of transactions is to seek the proper protection of your personal data.
Compliance with the law: We may also disclose your personal data if we believe, in good faith, that we have an obligation: (i) to respond to duly authorized requests for information from police, regulatory, judicial and other public authorities, and (iii) to investigate and assist in the prevention of security threats; (ii) to comply with any law, regulation, (iv) impose / protect the rights and property of ALFANET or its subsidiaries; or (v) protect the rights or personal security of ALFANET, its employees and third parties who are or use the assets of ALFANET when permitted and complying with the requirements of the applicable law.
Privacy Preference Choices
You have the option to subscribe as a subscriber to receive newsletters from us about ALFANET’s services. You can also choose to receive general newsletters from ALFANET as well as how to be delivered to you - e.g. by mail, email, telephone, fax, mobile device or online.
You can execute or change your preferences about subscriptions or general newsletters at the data collection point or by using other methods described in the following sections. These options do not apply to newsletters that have the primary purpose of managing the completion of orders, contracts, support, product safety alerts, driver updates, or other management and transaction alerts, as the primary purpose of these newsletters is not for commercial purposes.
Post-sign-up newsletters: Post-sign-up email alerts include email newsletters, software updates, etc. that you can explicitly request or consent to receive. After you request that, you can choose not to receive them anymore using one of the following methods:
- Select the "Opt-out" or "Unsubscribe" email link, or follow the instructions included in each contact message regarding your sign-up.
- To unsubscribe from messages delivered to mobile devices, reply to the message with the words "STOP" or "END".

General newsletters: ALFANET's general contact bulletins provide information on products, services and / or support. This may include information about new products or services, special offers, personalized content, targeted ads, or invitations to participate in market research or compliance reviews. After you request such newsletters, you can choose not to receive these by doing one of the following:

If we modify the Privacy Statement, we will disclose the revised statement here, with an updated review date. In the event of significant changes to the Company's Privacy Statement, which significantly differentiate our privacy practices, we may also inform you by other means, such as by e-mail or posting a notification on the corporate website and/or on social media pages before the changes are applied. The latest update of this Privacy Statement was held in May 2018.
